Description

Дл  использовани  механической энергии рек и верховых озер без сооружени  плотин предлагаетс  сифонное устройство дл  отвода воды и подвода ее к вод ному двигателю .To use the mechanical energy of rivers and lakes without the construction of dams, a siphon device for draining water and supplying it to a water engine is proposed.

The siphon device is shown in the attached drawing, where FIG. 1 shows its schematic longitudinal view, partly in section, and FIG. 2 is a cross-section, and consists of several pipes of different diameters, inserted one into another.

The first tube A is laid down with a smaller incline than the slope of the river, but in such a way that the whole tube is filled with water and so that the water flows through it by gravity, but at a slower speed than in the river. This first pipe, in turn, is inserted into the next pipe, B of a larger diameter with a horizon of water, only to the height of the diameter of the smaller pipe, and so pipes V are inserted ... I am one after another up to the section needed to obtain the flow rate of the water engine. All pipes in the upper reach are pubescent in water, as indicated in the drawing. The pipeline is laid down for length, depending on the river slope and height of the head needed for the turbine.

Due to the difference in pressure of the atmosphere and the suction of air with a stream of water, water will, as air sucks each pipe, into the pipe next, its diameter, so that in the required amount, already one pipe of larger diameter, is poured onto the turbine. Consequently, the head height will also depend on the length of the pipeline. The length and diameter of pipelines in turn will be the smaller, the greater the slope. Such a construction can be used without dams (especially on rivers with a large incline in the mountains), and all items passing along the river in the form of ships, rafts, ice, etc., will not interfere with the operation of the pipeline, since the latter can be installed in a well prepared in advance on the shore.

The subject of the patent.

Siphon device for draining water from rivers and lakes and bringing it to the water engine, characterized by

I have a different diameter, inserted one into another and immersed in the receiving end of the river, the length of which pipes increases with increasing diameter, and pipe A, which has the smallest diameter and depends on the river slope, the water goes by gravity, filling its entire cross section, while the outermost pipe I of the largest diameter, which serves as a siphon, is made of the greatest length, corresponding to the design head of the device.
