Description
(54) METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMERS OF CHLOROPRENE
The invention relates to the preparation of polymers and copolymers of chloroprene with high stability properties. Due to such valuable properties as fire resistance, ozone resistance: and high intramolecular cohesion, chloroprene rubber is used in many areas. A known method for the preparation of chloroprene polymethyljones by the emulsion polymerization of chloroprene or its copolymerization with other monomers in the presence of known regulators, emulsifiers, initiators and buffers 1,. However, the chloroprene polymer, obtained in an inventive way, changes the basic properties during storage, especially at high temperatures, and also changes its color under the influence of solar light. The purpose of the invention is to increase the stability of the polymer obtained. This is achieved by introducing at the end of the polymerization process in the resulting latex a condensation product of isobutyl alcohol with epichlorohydrin in an amount of 0.2-3.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight polymer This increases the stability of polymers and copolymers in dosing with sulfur and e 1 in 100 of the chloroprene content and their lightfastness stored. Example 1 The composition of the initial polymerization mixture, VOCOCH .: Chloropren100 Tertiary dodecylmercaptan, 8 Di syruporized rosin 4 Sodium alkylsulfonate 3 Sodium hydroxide (25% solution). 2 Potassium persulphate, 0.6 Sodium sulfite, 0.3 AmiVshachna water2 Water137.3 Polymerization was carried out at 35 ° C with an 80% conversion. After polymerization, an aqueous emichloroprene solution of the product condensation of isobutyl alcohol with pichlorohydrin is added to the latex at the rate of e.h., condensation product by weight.h. polymer and antioxidant calculation of 2 wt.h. per 100 weight parts imera. The latex is degassed to remove the residual monomer. Polymer
