The lifting pontoons used up to the present time are a rigid, one-piece construction made of wood or iron. Such pontoons, in addition to their considerable weight, reaching up to 25% of lifting power, cause great difficulties, because of their cumbersome transport, the tolerance is usually carried only by rafting on waterways. Soft (rubber) pontoons have very limited use. because of its high cost and quick wear. To eliminate these drawbacks of existing structures, a wooden collapsible pontoon is offered, into the interior of which, in order to maintain water resistance, bags of elastic material are inserted, filled with compressed air using a hose when the pontoon is immersed in water and hooked to the side of the sunken ship. Such a device is meant to achieve, in addition to the above, still the following advantages: 1) insensitivity to damage, since even when receiving a hole in a full skin, elastic bags are only compressed without a rupture; 2) low cost of manufacture and 3) increase in the depth of immersion in view of the enhanced strength of the pontoon with the internal pressure difference of 0.5 atm. In FIG. 1 shows schematically a general view of a pontoon with a partial section; FIG. 2 and 3 are an outer view of elastic bags (on an arbitrary scale), stacked in the middle and end compartments. The proposed wooden collapsible ship-raising pontoon has a cylindrical shape and is divided by spherical partitions 7 into three sections /, II, II, of which the outermost /, /// is half as long as the average //. The pontoon body, end plates 2, and intermediate partitions are made from wooden bars and planks. All parts of the pontoon are connected on spikes and fastened with hoops 5, 6, 7, which were attached with the help of bolts. In order to ensure water resistance, elastic bags filled with thin rubberized fabric are put inside the compartments /, //, ///. The cages are provided with openings W in the lower cavity (Figs. 2 and 3) for the release of water and air, and in the upper opening / 7 for supplying air and are attached to the upper part of the pontoon cylinder by means of hooks sewn to them (1) passing through holes 8. To lift a sunken ship, hook its upper parts, for example, bulwarks, portholes, etc., a corresponding number of pontoons using hooks or snores located on sling hoops 6. The pontoon is immersed by using ballast in the form old root chains y. After the pontoon is coupled with the ship, the chains are raised and placed on the next pontoon. By installing all the pontoons into the upper opening 9 (Fig. 1), compressed air is supplied via a hose.
