Description
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of dimethyl cohaponic acid, which can be used in the manufacture of polymers, plasticizers, drugs, etc. A method of producing dimethylmalonic acid is known by oxidation with potassium permanganate in an alkaline medium of triisobutylene of trimethylacetic acid. There is also known a method for producing substituted malonic acids by oxidation of substituted aldehydes with nitrogen oxides at an increased temperature. The disadvantage of such methods is the complexity of the technological implementation: in the first case, the use of expensive oxidant potassium permanganate and the difficulties associated with it in isolating the target product, a large amount of wastewater, and in the second, high corrosive environment (nitrogen oxides), the need for high temperature and pressure, a large amount of acidic wastewater. In order to simplify the process and expand the raw material base of the proposed 2.2-dimethyl-butene-3-al method, an ozone monocarboxylic KRC.TOT is ozonated in the medium, followed by oxidative decomposition of the ozonation products in the presence of 5-10% water at 40-100 ° C target product known techniques. The process of oxidative decomposition of ozonation products is expediently carried out in two stages: first at 40-60 ° C, then at 90-10 ° C. The original 2,2-dimethyl-butene-3-al can be easily obtained industrially from acetylene and isobutyraldehyde. Example 1. Through a solution of 51.5 g of 2.2-gCimethylbuten-3-l in 150 g of glacial acetic acid, air is passed containing 15% ozone, before the breakthrough of the latter, 12 g of water is poured into the reaction mass (6% on the original product) and the mixture is heated at 45 C for 5 hours while simultaneously passing ozonized air (0.1% ozone content) through a solution at a rate of 20 liters / hour. Then the mass is held for 1.5 hours at 100 C. Then the monocarboxylic acids are distilled off in vacuo from the reaction mass and the residue is filtered off. Yield 62.1 g (89.5%). After recrystallization from benzene, 55 g (79.2%) of the desired proth. Mp. 192-193 ° C.
