Description

Таким образом, предлагаемый способ позвол ет очищать водные растворы борной кислоты высокой концентрации (20-30%) до содержани  примесей в очи-щенном продукте .The invention relates to the electrochemical purification of boric acid. A known electrochemical method for the purification of boric acid by electrodigrating in a three-chamber electrodialyzer, the middle chamber of which is filled with a mixed layer of anion exchanger and cation exchanger. The disadvantage of this method is the possibility of purification of an aqueous solution of boric acid with only a low concentration of tribration - about 4%. For the purpose of the possibility of purification of a 2030% aqueous solution of boric acid, a method has been proposed by which electrochemical treatment of boric acid is carried out in a diaphragm electrolyzer at a temperature of 50-70 ° C and at a current of 0.12-0.15. Graphite cathodes can be made of spectrally pure graphite, can work without replacement for up to 50 hours in the specified conditions. After this termination, the cathodes are activated by brief immersion: neither of them in a 10% solution of nitric acid, followed by washing in distilled water. Example. 50 ml of a 20% aqueous solution of boric acid of medical qualification are loaded into a square glass electrolyzer. The electrolysis is carried out at a current of 50 mA and a voltage of 50 V. The electrolysis is completed after 30 minutes. The amount of impurities in boric acid before and after cleaning is given in the table. Thus, the proposed method allows purifying aqueous solutions of boric acid of a high concentration (20-30%) to the impurity content in the purified product.
