Description
Example 1. Recovery of nitrous oxide before electrofusion.
Nickel oxide, obtained by roasting nickel concentrate from separation of copper-nickel matte, having a temperature of 1000-1150 ° C, is continuously loaded into a fluidized bed reducing reactor. The latter is blown continuously with air supplied through the nozzle bottom of the furnace. Fuel oil and water vapor are fed through special nozzles to the lower part of the fluidized bed. The flow rate of air blowing is maintained within 0.25-0.45, the consumption of water vapor 0.1-0.5 kg pa 1 kg of fuel oil, the recovery temperature is 750-850 ° C. The resulting hot nickel powder is continuously discharged into hermetic hoppers, from where it enters the anode melt.
Example 2 Recovery of nickel oxide to obtain active powder.
Nickel oxide, obtained by roasting nickel concentrate from copper-nickel flares separation, having a temperature of 900-1000 ° C, is continuously loaded into the fluidized bed reducing reactor. The latter is continuously purged with air supplied through the bottom grate. A mixture of propane and water vapor is blown into the lower part of the fluidized bed through special tuyeres.
The flow rate of air blowing is maintained at 0.15-0.25, the flow rate of water vapor 0.1-0.25 kg per 1 kg of propane. The reduction temperature is 750-800 ° C. The resulting hot nickel powder is discharged into a sealed bunker, from where it is used for cementation of copper from the nickel electrolyte.
