Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a good reduced iron economically, by reducing iron ore preliminary charging powdered iron ore and carbonaceous material in fluidized bed and reducing to reduced iron in the next fluidized bed and also, reducing CO2 generated at the time of manufacturing the reduced iron to CO by powdered cabonaceous material and using circulating the above CO.
CONSTITUTION: The powdered iron ore 3 and the powdered carbonaceous material 4, are introduced in the fluidized bed 1 in the upper part of the reaction vessel. High temperature reducing gas containing CO, is risen from the lower moving bed 2 and both powders of the ore and carbonaceous material, are dropped down fluidizing in the bed 1. On this occasion, the ore is reduced by reducing gas preliminary and also, a part of the carbonaceous material is floated in the bed 1. Preliminary reduced ore is reduced by high temperature reducing gas jetting from the nozzle 11 in the bed 2 having the sectional area more than twice of the bed 1 and a good reduced iron is made. CO2 gas generated at that time, is reduced to CO by the powdered carbonaceous material and high temperature and high pressure CO gas is jetted from the nozzle 11 of the bed 2 through the duct 7 after reducing the ore in the bed 1 preliminary.
