Description
The hitherto known methods for the preparation of camphede from bornil chloride consist in the fact that boronyl chloride is treated with ammonia alcohol solutions, soaps, phenols, cresolts, etc., under pressure or without it. For example, German Patent No. 14079, English, Patent Nos. 321746, 26620, recommends heating their bornyl chloride with alcoholic or aqueous solutions of ammonia to 210-220 ° in an autoclave. By germ pat No. 185042, Eng. pat No. 29960 heated bornyl chloride with stearic acid lead to 195 - 200 °. Herm. pat No. 153324 indicates heating with potassium soaps and sodium hydroxide to 210-220 ° or stearic acid and ammonia.
The main disadvantage of these methods is the insufficient speed of the splitting reaction in the case of working without pressure, while working under pressure - the complexity of the apparatus. Known methods for the production of camphene using cresolate phenols (german. Pat. No. 264246 and no. 236671; amer. Pat. No. 1478690, eng. Pat. No. 622572). At the same time, scarce products are consumed: phenol, cresol P.
The constituent subject matter of this copyright certificate is that bornyl chloride is heated with caustic soda or soda ash and acidic tailings of peat gum or with other types of low-calorie fuels. At the end of this reaction, a solution of caustic soda is added and camphene is distilled off with steam or camphene is released by other known methods. This method of splitting of bornyl chloride found by us in comparison with the known methods outlined above has the advantage that the non-deficient raw materials are consumed.
36-37°.Example 1. 50 weight parts of chloride worn, 13 weight. parts of caustic soda, 70 wt. parts of the acid parts of the peat resin with a boiling point of 225-260 ° are heated under reflux for 10 hours at a temperature of 60-70 °. At the end of the reaction, camphene is distilled off with water vapor or deposited by other known methods. 32.5 camphenes are obtained, which is 65% of the weight of the initial bornyl chloride with a melting point of obtained camphene of 36-37 °.
1.Example 2. 50 wt. parts of bornyl chloride, 18.5 wt. parts of soda ash, 85 wt. parts of the acidic tails of the peat resin, boiling at 230-320, are heated at a temperature of 160-170 ° for 10 hours. The selection of .camphene and its output are similar to example 1.
Example 3, 50 wt., Parts of bornyl chloride, 13.5 wt. parts of caustic soda, 50 wt. parts of peat resin with a boiling point of 210-230 ° are heated at a temperature of 160-165 for 7 hours. At the end of the reaction, 30.5 wt. parts of camphene.
Example 4. 50 wt. parts of bornyl chloride, 13,5 weight. Part of caustic soda, 70 wt. parts of the acidic tails of the coal tar that boil at 230-260 ° are heated for 10 hours at a temperature of 160-170 °. At the end of the reaction, camphene is distilled off with water vapor and 32 wt. parts of camphene.
1.Example 5. 50 wt. parts of bornyl chloride, 13.5 wt. parts of caustic soda, 70 wt. parts of the acidic tails of the coal tar with a boiling point of 260-320 ° are heated at a temperature of 160-170 ° for 15 hours. The isolation and yield of camphene is similar to Example 1.
