Description

The invention relates to the field of testing the mechanical properties of metals, in particular to methods for testing metals in contact with molten solder.

При нагревании до температуры испытани  припой может стечь с поверхности рабочей части образца, а также изменить свой состав за счет испарени  летучих компонентов с открытой поверхности расплава .In the known methods of testing the technological strength of metals in contact with molten solder, solder is applied to the working part of the test specimen in the form of half a day, weights, electroplating or another method. When heated to the test temperature, the solder can drain from the surface of the working part of the sample, and also change its composition due to evaporation of volatile components from the open surface of the melt.

С целью создани  условий, имитирующих процесс формировани  па ного шва, по предлагаемому способу на рабочую часть образца поверх припо  навивают проволоку, образующую с поверхностью образца капилл рный зазор .In order to create conditions simulating the process of formation of the weld seam, according to the proposed method, a wire that forms a capillary gap with the sample surface is soldered onto the working part of the sample.

The wire may be made of a material insoluble by molten solder, or of a material similar to the material of the test specimen.

The proposed method is illustrated in the drawing.

Solder I is applied to the working surface of the test sample by any known method. A wire 2 is welded over the top and its ends are fixed. The sample is then heated and tested.

When the sample is heated, the solder melts and remains in the capillary gap between the turns of the wire and the surface of the sample. The metal of the wire is similar to the metal of the sample or practically insoluble with solder, for example, tungsten VRB wire is suitable for silver solder.

Paplavleic solder, being in a closed cavity, evaporates little, thereby retaining the original composition.
