При контроле цилиндрических изделий используют устанавливаемый соосно с провер емым изделием точный шпиндель, корпус которого выполнен переставным вдоль его оси. На валу шпиндел  смонтирована подвижна  вдоль оси каретка с радиально переставным датчиком. Сн в круглограмму в одном сечении , перемещением корпуса переставл ют датчик в следуюш;ее сечение, снимают его круглограмму и т. д. При этом не только наход т погрешности поперечных сечений, но и сравнивают их средние диаметры, т. к. при такой перестановке сохран етс  неизменным радиальное положение датчика относительно оси вращени .
