Description
METHOD OF CONTINUOUS REFINATION OF THE FLOW
The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to processes of continuous redistribution of metal.
Known methods for continuous refining of a metal stream include the introduction of a gas with a high oxygen content around the periphery of the metal.
The difference of the proposed method is that the refining gas is introduced into the bath below the metal level, the carbon content in the refined metal carbon must be below 0.5%, and the amount of metal in the bath is equal to five times the amount of partially refined metal. Such an embodiment makes it possible to reduce iron waste, reduce the amount of soot in the exhaust gases and improve the conditions for their purification.
The proposed method is implemented as follows.
The refining gas is injected below the level of the metal at the eccentric site opposite to the point where the metal is introduced in order to obtain the circulation currents of the metal, which lead to the mixing of the molten metal in the van and the reduction of dust formation due to averaging the metal and metal.
м.on the opposite, a new effect appears, namely: circulating currents arise inside the bath, which, in turn, leads to the mixing of the star again; 1 metal with the refined metal. These circulation streams are aided by the blowing of weak, drinking gas, which is produced above the bath using furm.
The carbon content in the metal exposed to the refining gas must be below 0.5%, then the formation of soot-containing fumes is almost zero, which reduces the oxidation of iron i and improves the conditions for purification of exhaust gases.
Subject invention
0,5%.1. A method of continuous refining a metal stream by purging with a high oxygen content gas, characterized in that, in order to reduce the dust formation and purge and improve the cleaning conditions of the exhaust gases, the refining gas is introduced into the bath below the metal level, the carbon content in the refined metal must be below 0.5%.
