Description
A metal vessel of a mercury vaporizer, to prevent local perekalov, as well as to cool it, is enclosed in a metal water jacket. Under the influence of uneven heating of individual parts of the rectifier and behind the rows of the vessel with a mercury arc to different potentials, a potential difference is established between individual parts of the vessel and between the vessel and the water jacket of the rectifier and local electrolytic currents arise, which strongly erode the vacuum vessel and break its tightness. It is known from European practice that there are cases when a rectifier, after several months of work, becomes unusable. To combat this, various methods are applied, for example, a steel vessel with a rubber compound or vessels that are much thicker than is required for mechanical strength considerations. The same applies to the water cooling conditions of a mercury condensation pump. In the latter case, cooling through a copper pipe is applied. All of these methods either do not eliminate corrosion.
вакуумного сосуда, либо ухудшают услови его охлаждени .vacuum vessel, or worsen its cooling conditions.
The present invention relates to a mercury rectifier with water cooling and an iron or steel vessel, the walls of which are covered on the outside with a semi-box, and is aimed at eliminating electrolytic erosion by making a zinc or metal coating on the inside with zinc.
Электролитические токи или исчезгцот совсем, или получают другое на,правление, так что с течением времени вакуумный сосуд выпр мител не разъедаетс , а только оцинковываетс .The proposed method of protecting the vessel walls from corroding is based on the fact that the difference in voltage between the vessel and the metal jacket does not exceed 0.2 V from local overheating or from charging a vacuum vessel with a mercury arc. c in the case of two metals spaced significantly apart in the Volta range. According to the proposed method, a steel or iron vacuum vessel of the straightener is covered with a half-day, and the jacket water is made of zinc or of another metal, but worn with zinc on the inside. In case of at least insignificant electroforming of the cooling supply water, get with; between the electro-positioning of the body, MCTiaAAOM (zinc) and the electronegative (tin) compensates for the difference in voltage from the charge of the body by the arc and from various overheatings and thereby prevents the vacuum vessel from completely eroding. The electrolytic currents either disappear completely, or get another on, the board, so that over time, the vacuum vessel of the rectifier does not corrode, but only becomes zinc.
The same applies to the cooling of mercury condensing pumps.
Along the way, a half of the vessel increases the vacuum properties of steel or iron vessels and rectifier pumps.
