Abstract
FIELD: fusion power plants. SUBSTANCE: TOKAMAK toroidal field winding block has its coil made in the form of single-turn composite section built up of current-carrying circuit with terminal leads and power shroud embracing it and held at same electric potential as current-carrying circuit. Electric insulation is applied to external surfaces of block. Shroud lock may be made in the form of U-clamp that has vertical webs and horizontal bottom. Vertical webs of clamp are arranged around vertical surfaces of shroud and coil leads brought out through cut in shroud. Horizontal bottom covers bottom horizontal surface of shroud. Electric insulation is applied only to internal surfaces of lock which are in contact with side surfaces of coil leads and bottom part of shroud; lock is secured to shroud by means of bolts (pins) on top part of block. Center lines of bolts are perpendicular to vertical symmetry plane of block. In other option, lock may be made in the form of rectangular frame embracing shroud about its cut, and electric insulation of lock is applied only to internal surfaces which are in contact with side surfaces of coil leads and bottom part of shroud. EFFECT: improved operating reliability of TOKAMAK magnetic system, reduced mass and size, improved basic electromagnetic characteristics of TOKAMAK. 3 cl, 4 dwg
