FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: product: benzene, empirical formula is CH. Reagent: methane or natural gas. Process conditions: at 630-700 C, under atmospheric pressure, volume rate of raw feeding is 1200-1600 h. Catalyst has the following composition, wt.-%: nickel 0.3-1.0; rhenium 0.15-0.5, and γ-aluminium oxide - the rest. Catalyst is treated preliminary with air at 700 C for 3 hr, then blown with air for 0.25 hr, and after drying methane or natural gas is passed.
