Abstract
FIELD: stabilization of building and structure foundations mainly on clayey soils. SUBSTANCE: bore-holes with lining tubes are made, they are filled with stabilizing mortar, stepped rise of the tubes is accomplished and widenings are made in the bore-hole walls, mortar is forced into soil with formation of horizontal splits. After their formation soil is subjected to action of DC current by connection of adjacent bore-holes to opposite poles with reversal of current flow in 0.04 to 6.0 days up to formation of stabilized courses. Bore-holes are spaced at 2.1 to 2.3 of the maximum length of horizontal splits, and widenings are made at the same levels. If widenings are made at different levels, the spaces between bore-holes are taken to be equal to 1.1 to 1.13 of the maximum length of horizontal splits. When bore-holes are made to different depths with widenings at the lower ends, the spaces between bore-holes are taken to be equal to 0.8 to 0.9 of the minimum length of splits. A current conducting liquid agent is used as the stabilizing mortar. Before forcing the mortar, stoppers of dielectric material may be placed in bore-holes between the levels of splits, splits are formed at three and more levels, bore-holes are connected to the poles by means of insulated rod electrode positioned in them outside the splits. In this case drilling is carried out at a distance not exceeding two minimum lengths of splits located at the same level; a non-conducting liquid agent is used as stabilizing mortar.
