Abstract
FIELD: acceleration engineering; heavy-current charged-particle accelerators with short current pulse length used in radiation chemistry, activation analyses, fundamental investigations in high-energy physics. SUBSTANCE: system has master oscillator 1 incorporating control unit, high-speed phase shifter 2, high-frequency power amplifier 3, storage cavities 4,5 connected to high-frequency channel through circulators 6,7. High-frequency power switch 8, delay line 9, and additional high-speed phase shifter 10 are inserted between circulators. Loose arms of circulators 6,7 are connected to high-frequency bridge 11. High-frequency field energy stored in cavities 4,5 and in delay line 9 is added by means of bridge which raises pulse power of high-frequency wave. EFFECT: improved pulse power of high-frequency wave without changing time constant of storage cavities during high-frequency pulse period. 1 dwg
