Abstract
The invention relates to agriculture and can be used for pre-sowing treatment of fodder beet seeds. The purpose of the invention is to improve the sowing qualities of seeds and increase the yield of root crops. This goal is achieved by treating the seeds before sowing, obtained by electrolysis with water with a pH of 3.0-5.5 and a temperature of 20-40 ° C. The treatment is carried out for 15-24 hours at room temperature 18-25 ° C . 1 tab
Description
The invention relates to agriculture and can be used for pre-sowing treatment of fodder beet seeds.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the sowing qualities of seeds and increase the yield of root crops.
Example After removal of the pericarp parenchyma and calibration, seeds of fractions 3.5–4.5 and 4.5–5.5 mm in size are selected, which undergo pre-sowing treatment separately. The seeds of each fraction are placed in a container and poured by electrolysis with water at pH 3 , 0-5.5 and a temperature of 20-40 ° C. Seeds in this water are kept for 15-24 hours at room temperature 18-25 ° C. Then the seeds are dried in air or with active ventilation and a temperature of 18-50 ° C to friable state, e to a moisture content of 14-18%. The seeds thus prepared are loaded into the sowing apparatus hoppers and sown into the soil within 1-15 days after treatment. For comparison, dry seeds and seeds, soaked in neutral (pH 7.0) and alkaline (pH 8.0-9.0) water obtained by electrolysis, were used. Ordinary water from a water supply system, a well, or an open water body can be used for electrolysis.
The results presented in the table indicate that soaking seeds in acidic water helps to improve their sowing qualities and increase the yield of carnival crops compared to other methods of soaking seeds. This is due to the suppression of the development of microorganisms causing plant diseases on the surface of the super-seeds.
