Abstract
FIELD: sea seismic survey. SUBSTANCE: device incorporates housing 1 with openings 2, stop member consisting of rod 3 with upper and lower pistons 4 and 5 respectively. Stop member has starting channel 6 and connection channel 7. Solenoid-operated air valve 8 is coupled with housing. These parts form control chamber 11, by-pass chamber 12 permanently communicating with ambient air through openings 2, working chamber 13 separated from pressure chamber 15 by resilient vessel 16 filled with silicone liquid. In the course of operation stop member moves up in direction of control chamber 11, lower piston 5 opens openings 2 to allow outburst of air from working chamber 13 and emission of seismic signal. Drop of pressure during such air outburst is partially reduced due to that potential energy of springy silicone liquid contained in vessel 16 is imparted to air. As a result, duration of signal and amount of consumed air are reduced alongside with drop of intensity of repeat pulsation. EFFECT: improved seismic effectiveness and device durability. 2 cl, 2 dwg
