Abstract

FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: carbon oxysulfide is hydrolyzed on the same polyfunctional catalyst, and hydrogen sulfide formed is oxidized to sulfur. Vanadium-carbon catalyst of the following composition is used in the process, wt. - -% : VO5-20; carbon 10-40, and carrier (AlO, SiO, HS , aluminosilicate) - the rest. Method ensures to increase output (by sulfur) with regard to purification from SOand Sup to 31.8 g-mole S, and up to 2.68 g-mole COS (by COS hydrolysis) as compared with prototype (30.5 g-mole sulfur (S) and 2.49 g-mole COS from 1 l catalyst per 1 h in the presence of 1 vol. % oxygen, respectively).
