Abstract
Ј (ЛThis invention relates to vehicle passive safety devices. The purpose of the invention is the convenience of operating the device and allowing its elements to be reused. The device contains an inner 1 and outer 2 tubular elements with channels in which the ball 6 is installed, and the tubular elements are fixed with bolts 7 and adjustable nuts 8 between the bumper 9 and the bracket 10, the outer tubular element 2 having an aperture 5 not smaller than ball 6. The device operates as follows. The shock load is transmitted through the bumper 9 to the inner element 1, which, moving inside the outer element 2, deforms the ball with the balls 6, as a result of which part of the impact energy is extinguished. If the applied shock load did not lead to the working length of the outer tubular element 2, then the resulting backlash is selected by rotating the nut 8 along the thread of the bolt 7. In the case of generating the entire length, the contact balls 6 through the holes 5 are removed and inserted again into the grooves of the inner element I, which in turn is inserted into the guiding channels 3 of the new outer element 2. 2 or so on.
