Description

The use of liquefied gases, such as carbon dioxide, as solvents for aromatic and other substances of various raw materials of plant origin - tea, coffee, irises, is known.

Предложено примен ть сжиженные газы, например углекислый, в качестве растворител  горьких и ароматических веществ хмел .It has been proposed to use liquefied gases, for example carbonic acid, as a solvent for bitter and aromatic substances hop.

The dissolution of the bitter and aromatic substances of the hop with the help of liquefied carbon dioxide (liquid carbon dioxide) and produces as follows.

The ground hops are treated with a reduced carbon dioxide gas under pressure corresponding to the vapor pressure of the solvent at a given process temperature. Thus, at a temperature of 20-25 ° C, the pressure is 50-60 atm. The process with these parameters lasts 1 -1.5 hours. From the liquefied carbon dioxide obtained as a result of treating the hop, the miscella evaporates the solvent and produces an extract of the bitter and aromatic substances of the hop. It is an anhydrous, viscous mass of a light brown color with a concentrated smell of the initial hop. The extract is completely dissolved in ethyl alcohol.
