Description
The invention relates to radiation protective screens made of building blocks, and is intended to protect targets of accelerators of charged particles of medium and high energy.
The purpose of the invention is to increase efficiency, reduce costs and simplify the construction.
З (выносной элемент).FIG. 1 shows radiation protection, horizontal section; figure 2 - node I in figure 1 (remote element): in fig.Z - section A - A in figure 1; figure 4 - node II in fig.Z (remote element).
15.The radiation protection contains the outer shell 1, the sides 2 of channel 3, the output of neutrons from target 4, aggregate 5, which includes layers of super-heavy concrete having a density of 4.6-5.7 t / m. The filler is made in the form of a series of 7 cylindrical blocks 8, made of pipes 9 (steel or cast iron), filled with cast iron 10. Cylindrical blocks installed close to each other to form a tight package. The water cooling system of radiation protection includes cooling pipes 11 installed in the gaps between the cylindrical blocks and having a one-way water supply (Field's pipes). The space between the cylindrical blocks and the pipes is filled with heavy cement 12 with a density of 3.6 t / m3 with iron oxide filler (metallurgical production waste). Radiation protection is installed on the concrete slab 13. Figure 4 also indicates lifting loops 14 and welding joints 15.
The construction of the radiation protection is as follows.
A concrete slab 13 is cast. Cylindrical blocks 8 are installed on it using lifting loops 14 for this purpose. Cylindrical blocks are fastened together by welding. Then a layer of 6 tons of concrete is cast, on which the next row of 7 cylindrical blocks is installed. Then, the shells 2 are installed and the space between them and the cylindrical blocks is filled with a layer 6 of super-fine concrete. After assembling the filler 5, the space between it and the outer shell 1 is also filled with a layer of super-heavy
Thus, the assembly of the radiation protection can be done by conventional general construction means.
Since the tight packing of cylindrical blocks has a porosity of about 10%, when using cast iron with a density of 7.3 t / m, super heavy concrete with a density of 4.6 t / m3, containing cast iron or steel shot and heavy cement with a density of
Этим объ сн етс высока эффективность радиационной защиты .The iron oxide scale of 3.6 t / m, the average density of radiation protection is 6.9 t / m3. This explains the high efficiency of the radiation protection.
The protection used waste metallurgical production, what caused its low cost.
An additional cost reduction is achieved through the use of relatively small amounts of super-high concrete in the protection, which requires special equipment for its manufacture.
