Abstract
The invention relates to the field of non-ferrous metallurgy and allows to obtain pyrrhotite of a given composition, namely, FE 21 S 22 with a 100% yield. For this, reductive roasting is carried out at 550-570 ° C in a current of a mixture of hydrogen gases and hydrogen sulfide at a ratio of (8-9): 1 and an optimum concentration of 89-90% H 2 . The ratio of hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide is chosen in such a way as to exclude the formation of pyrrhotite of a different composition. 1 tab.
Description
Fe2iS22.The invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the development of a method for producing pure non-stoichiometric iron sulfide (pyrrhotite) of composition Fe2iS22.
Fe2iS22.The aim of the invention is to provide a 100% yield of pyrrhotite of composition Fe2iS22.
The essence of the method is as follows.
The initial pyrite (monomineral) with a particle size of 0.1 mm is reduced at 550–570 ° C in a gas flow with a H2: H2S ratio equal to (8.0–9.0): 1 not less than 2.5 h and the gas velocity above the sample 2 , 0-2.72 cm / s. Under these conditions, pyrrhotite Fe2iS22 is formed. These process parameters make it possible to obtain pyrrhotite of a strictly FeaiSaa composition without the formation of iron sulfides, which have different characteristics. Increasing the temperature (more than 570 ° C) and the concentration of hydrogen in the gas phase (more than 90%) leads to a greater desulfurization of pyrite (formed by FeS - troilite). With a decrease in temperature (less than 55.0 ° C) and hydrogen concentration (less than 89%), the composition
F621S22.and the quality of the products formed does not correspond to PIRROTIN F621S22.
П р и м е р 1. Source pyrite containing 47% iron and 53% sulfur is crushed to a particle size of 0.1 mm. A portion of pyrite (3 g) is burned in a horizontal tube furnace at 560 ° C in a current of a mixture of hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide gases at a ratio of 8: 1 for 2.5 hours. The consumption of a mixture of gases is 0.8 l / min, which corresponds to 2.72 cm / s The product is analyzed by chemical and X-ray methods. Identified pyrrhotite composition FeaiSaa (yield 100%).
The results of the experiments are presented in the table .-
As follows from the table, the change in the process temperature and the ratio Ha: H2S at the proposed intervals results in a product contaminated with sulphides of a different composition.
