Abstract
The invention can be used in the hydrometallurgical processing of manganese ores and sludges. The goal is to reduce the impurities of magnesium and calcium in the concentrate. The method of obtaining manganese concentrates involves leaching manganese from a manganese-containing raw material, neutralizing the resulting solution, separating the manganese-containing solution from the solid phase, precipitating the concentrate, and then separating it from the mother liquor. At the same time, polyacrylic or polymethacrylic acid or their sodium or potassium salts in an amount of 10 to 500 mg per 1 kg of concentrate is introduced into the solution before chemical precipitation of the concentrate. The method makes it possible to reduce the mass fractions of alkaline-earth metal impurities magnesium 2.5 to 5.0 times and calcium 1.4 to 4.0 times without reducing the mass fraction of manganese in the concentrate. 3 tab.
Description
The invention can be used in the hydrometallurgical processing of manganese ores and sludges.

As can be seen from the table. 1, the proposed method, which involves the introduction before the precipitation of manganese concentrate of polyacrylic or polymethacrylic acid or their sodium or potassium salts, will reduce the content of impurities in the concentrate 2.5-4.0 times.
The introduction of the polymers mentioned above into the solution prior to chemical precipitation of the concentrate makes it possible to most selectively separate impurities. In tab. Table 2 shows the comparative values of the mass fractions of magnesium and calcium in the concentrate for various polymer feeds.
Подача полимера в суспензию после осаждени вли ни на содержание примесей в концентрате не оказывает .From the data given in table. 2, it follows that the introduction of the polymer into the solution before precipitating the concentrate can significantly reduce the mass fraction of impurities in the concentrate. The flow of the polymer into suspension after precipitation does not affect the content of impurities in the concentrate.

It is established that the consumption of polymers introduced before the precipitation of the concentrate is 10-500 mg / kg of the concentrate. Table 3 shows the values of the mass fractions of impurities in the magnesium and calcium concentrates — with different consumption of polymers. As follows from the table. 3, a polymer consumption of 10-500 mg / kg of concentrate is optimal. Under these conditions, the mass fractions of impurities were,%: Md 0.14-0.055Ca 0.2 & -0.10%. A further increase in the consumption of polymers (above 500 mg / kg) is impractical, since it does not contribute to reducing the mass fraction of impurities.
0,16%Example 1. The carbonate concentrate of the Alexandrovsky concentrator with a mass fraction of Mn 26.0%, CaO 10.2%, MgO 2.5% is leached with sulfuric acid to a pH of 1.5 with a T: W ratio of 1.0: 3.5. The resulting solution is neutralized with lime milk to pH 4.5 and separated from the solid phase (tailings) by filtration. The filtrate contains 58 g / l Mp, 0.6 g / l Ca, 0.2 g / l MD. Polyacrylic acid in the form of a solution (concentration of 1 g / l) in the amount of ml per 1 l (at the rate of 100 mg per 1 kg of concentrate) is added to the obtained filtrate and stirred with an impeller mixer for 10 minutes. Then, to precipitate the concentrate, ammonium bicarbonate is added with stirring in a 1.2-fold excess stoichiometrically necessary. The precipitation time is 1 h. The resulting concentrate is separated from the mother liquor by filtration, washed by repulpation at a T: W ratio of 1:10, filtered off again and dried. The final product contains 45% MP, 0.16%
