The purpose of the invention is to reduce the labor intensity of servicing the device.
The drawing shows the device section.
9.The device comprises a housing 1 of a water-impermeable material, current electrodes 2, measuring electrodes 3 and a thermistor 4, connected by means of conductive outputs 5 to measuring equipment (not shown). On the upper and lower parts of the housing 1, semipermeable membranes 6 are fixed (allowing water to pass through but not allowing air to pass through). The side of the housing is equipped with a hole 7 and a stopper 8. The device is filled with water 9.
The device works as follows.
При этом между водой устройства и влагой грунта, посредством полупроницаемых мембран, образует- Before installing the device in the soil, it is filled with water 9 through the opening 7 and it is allowed for some time to hold the membrane soaked with water. After this, the opening 7, following the fact that no air remains in the device, is closed by a stopper 8. The device is then installed in the soil so that the upper and lower membranes are in tight contact with the soil. In this case, between the water of the device and the moisture of the soil, by means of semi-permeable membranes, forms
As a result of the carried out hydraulic communication, the gradient of capillary forces existing in the soil-ground begins to act on the upper and lower membranes. Under the influence of these forces and depending on the direction of the gradient, the moisture of the soil begins to enter the device through the upper membrane and exit through the lower membrane, or vice versa. Thus, the water in the device is drawn into the total moisture flow that exists in the soil. With the help of current 2 and measuring electrodes 3, connected by conductor terminals 5 with measuring equipment (not shown), the electrical conductivity of the soil moisture is measured, and the temperature resistance is measured by thermistor 4. Using the values of electrical conductivity and moisture temperature of the soil by known empirical dependencies, its salinity is found.
