Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to the technology for producing granules from powder materials.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the productivity of the process and the strength of the granules.
Example. The granules are obtained on a granulator with a diameter of 0.6 m, tilted to the horizontal plane at an angle of 45 ° and performing 11 rpm. Compressed air at a flow rate of 10 m3 / h was supplied in the direction of movement of the upward layer of the bulk material. Iron ore powder of the following chemical composition,%, was subjected to granulation: Total 62.88; FeO 26.9; CaO 0.58; SI02 3.25, the moisture content of the powder was 7.0%, the weight of the stock was 5 kg. The wet material was loaded into the granulator and treated with compressed air for 15 minutes.
At the same time, the granulating material was wetted with liquid glass. Liquid glass was fed by gravity from the measuring tank through the piping system to the treatment area with a stream of compressed air. In experiments, the amount of liquid glass was changed. After completion of the process, the productivity of the method was determined by the yield of granules of a fractional composition of 5 mm and the compressive strength of the granules. The results of testing the method are presented in the table.
The optimal amount of liquid glass for wetting is the amount of binder, equal to 1.2-3.8% of the mass of bulk material. Here, an increase in the productivity of the method by 4.4-14.9% and an increase in the strength of the granules by 5.3-25.7% is achieved. These indicators are due to the effective dispersion of liquid glass and its intensive interaction with the bulk material without removing the binder and fine particles.

В итоге процесс гранулировани идет эффективно и стабильно.from the processing area and the granulator As a result, the granulation process is efficient and stable.
Несоблюдение оптимальных количеств жидкого стекла на доувлажнение ухудшает показатели гранулировани и его стабильность .Non-observance of optimal amounts of liquid glass for dehumidification impairs granulation performance and its stability.
If the amount of liquid glass to be wetted is less than 1.2%. This does not provide optimal wetting of the bulk material; a lot of under-wetted powder appears that is not involved in the granulation process. As a result, the productivity of the method drops by 4% and the granule strength decreases by 1.6% as compared with the known method.
If the amount of liquid glass per moistening is more than 3.8%, then the material is over-humidified, the process is disturbed with the formation of lumps of large and irregular shape, which reduces the yield and the productivity of the method. The strength of the suitable granules does not increase and remains at the level of the known method.
In the proposed technology, liquid glass is used in the operation of dehumidification not of the entire material, but of its part located in the treatment zone with a stream of compressed air. In addition, liquid glass helps to eliminate the removal of powder from the treatment area, increases the degree of interaction of materials, improves the aggregating ability.
