Abstract
The invention relates to the treatment of parts by shot and can be used in the aviation industry and other mechanical engineering industries for the surface hardening of work pieces. The purpose of the invention is to expand the technological capabilities of the device. It is made in the form of an air pistol and includes a housing 1 inside which a shaped body 2 is installed, forming together with the walls 3 of the housing a shaped channel 5 for the circulation of balls. Inside the housing 1 there is a ball trap 7 with a flap 8 for closing the channel for acceleration of the balls by means of a lever 9. A removable sealing nozzle 10 is mounted in the output part of the channel 5, at the end of which a perforated substrate 11 of impact-resistant material is fixed with the possibility of contact with the surface to be treated the details. 2 Il.

После окончани процессаthe surface 12 through the perforated substrate 11, the surface is hardened. The exhaust air is released into the atmosphere through the perforations of the side covers 3. If necessary, the device can be moved along the reinforced surface manually or by means of a mechanical drive. After finishing the process

The surface of the hardening (using a perforated substrate) is uniformly covered with prints of particles of the working agent and corresponds to the integrity and quality of the standard. It has been established that the use of a perforated substrate practically does not reduce the magnitude of the residual compressive stresses and their depth in comparison with the open surface treatment (without the substrate) of the part.
During testing, hardening of complex surfaces, with a small radius of curvature, of stepped surfaces was done. The experiment showed that there was no loss of the working agent to the environment. The substrate did not have gaps.
5.The establishment of the required capacity and impact force is made by adjusting the air pressure, the size of the working agent (balls and geometric parameters of the channel 5.
By moving the device with a perforated substrate over the treated surface, it is possible to provide hardening of the entire surface as well as its local sections, as well as hardening the surface according to a certain pattern formed by the alternation of hardened and non-strengthened surface areas.
