Abstract

The invention relates to welding equipment, in particular to forming devices for cladding. The purpose of the invention is to increase durability by reducing abrasive wear on the tail section of the forming surface. Before the tail section of the chill mold 2, a water-cooled swivel roller 3 is installed, the cylindrical surface of which is part of the shaping surface of the chill mold. The main mechanical load from the solidified weld metal is on the roller. During the surfacing process, a slag skull appears on the surface of the roller. To remove it from the outside of the mold, a welding torch 4 is installed opposite the roller. The water-cooled part of the roller is protected from heat by a heat shield installed inside the roller. This increases the period of continuous operation of the chill mold. 2 Il.
