Abstract

FIELD: agriculture, particularly, selection of plants. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes sampling one-year teosinte seeds to be sown on hybridization plots, letting them germinate until they start sprouting, placing seeds to be sown into cooling chambers, standing them at temperature of 1 to 5 C during 1 to 5 days, mixing parent seeds prior to sowing in ratio of 8:1 to 12:1, and then sowing them on hybridization plots. Disclosed method further prescribes using corn species having valuable mother qualities and harvesting grown-up hybrids with aid of combine employed for harvesting corn cobs. EFFECT: possibility of growing hybrid seeds on industrial scale, lower labor intensity and greater cropping power. 4 tbl
