Description
Изобретение относитс к цветной металлургии, в частности к составам масс дл гор чего ремонта поврежденных участков футеровки электролизера дл получени алюмини .The invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to compositions of the masses for the hot repair of damaged sections of the lining of the electrolyzer to produce aluminum.
The aim of the invention is to increase the service life of the cell.
Example. Prepare a mixture containing 35% MgO, 15% B703, 50% A1. The verification of the properties of the proposed composition of the protective mass is carried out on electrolyzers having local destruction of the coal lining of considerable length (not less than 500 mm). The prepared mixture is placed in an aluminum pan and poured on top with a layer of aluminum, i.e. baking tray serves as a container. Then a container with a protective mass is placed in the place of destruction of the coal lining of the electrolyzer prepared for repair. After the container is melted and the plastic state is acquired, the protective mass fills the cracks and voids of the destroyed bottom region. Then the mass is leveled and its excess is removed from the electrolyzer.
The test results of protective masses of different composition are given in the table.
дл данного типа электролизеров .The use of the proposed composition of the protective mass for hot repair of the lining makes it possible to increase the service life of electrolyzers, which even exceeds the standard 42 months for repaired electrolyzers. for this type of cell.
The introduction of boric anhydride into the composition of the protective mass ensures an increase in the service life of the electrolyzer and an increase in the quality of aluminum due to an increase in the reliability of protection of REF

рушенных участков футеровки электролизера .ruined areas of the lining of the electrolyzer.
The protective mass containing magnesium oxide, boric anhydride and aluminum in specified ratios, at the repair working temperature (950–960 ° C), acquires a plastic state, which ensures the addition of cracks and the deepening of cracks and grooves. As the protective mass warms up, its components, entering into chemical interaction, are sintered, forming a strong refractory layer that prevents the penetration of the melt under coal blocks.
The decrease in the content of boric anhydride (less than 15 wt.%) Does not provide the required strength characteristics of the protective layer, and an increase in
(более 25 ) снижает пластичность защитной массы.(more than 25) reduces the plasticity of the protective mass.
The invention allows to increase the service life of the electrolyzer.
