Abstract

FIELD: analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves the sample treatment with an aqueous-ethanolic mixture to the concentration 0.00015-0.0015 g/ml, taking off two aliquots one of which is treated with alkali to pH 11 and other one - with the same acid volume to pH 2 followed by optical measurement of the first obtained solution with regard to other one at the wavelengths 269, 273, 276 and 304 nm and calculation of ketamine hydrochloride content. Method ensures to determine ketamine hydrochloride in the presence of benzethonium chloride for 45 min at sensitivity assay at wavelength 269.5 nm 0.00007 g/ml, at 273.5 nm - 0.00012 g/ml, at 276.5 nm - 0.00007 g/ml and at 304 nm - 0.00028 g/ml as compared with that of 0.00004 g/ml. EFFECT: increased precision of assay, simplified method of analysis.
