Abstract
This invention relates to stereoscopy and can be used in the display of stereoscopic movies. The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of demonstration of stereo images by eliminating the stroboscopic effect without increasing the frame rate during projection. The method of displaying stereoscopic images involves alternately projecting a series of left and right stereoscopic image frames onto a demonstration screen synchronously with alternating darkening of the left and right eyes of the viewer and observing images with a flicker frequency not lower than critical, with the image flicker frequency exceeding the frame rate at least projection than double and multiple to her. 1 il.

The drawing shows a device that implements the method of displaying stereoscopic images.
Сепараторы при помощи светопрозрачных заземленных элект|5одов 5 и свето- прозрачных управл ющих электродов 6 и 7 подключены соответственно к пр мому и инверсному выходам блока 8 синхронизации .The device contains a paired projector 1 of left and right frames of stereo pairs, in front of which lenses are installed separators 2 and 3 of left and right images of stereo pairs, consisting of films with electro-optical properties, and another screen. The separators are connected to the direct and inverse outputs of the synchronization unit 8 by means of translucent grounded electric | 5odes 5 and light-transparent control electrodes 6 and 7, respectively.
The method of demonstration of stereoscopic images involves alternately projecting the adjacent left and right images of stereo pairs with a projector 1 with separators 2 and 3 onto a demonstration screen synchronously with alternating dimming of the left and right eyes of the viewer using individual separators 2 and 3, which may be similar projector separators 1. The separators and the projector work synchronization is performed by a synchronization unit 8, which delivers mutually inverted control electrodes 6 and 7 to the control electrodes 6 and 7. th e pulses that switches the Puotila separators

When projecting frames of left and right images of stereopairs with a conventional 2k frame projection frequency of 1 s to obtain a flicker frequency not lower than the critical one (42-50 flickers per second), separators present the viewer every frame at least twice during the presentation of the stereo pair. . At the same time, the frequency of flickering of images exceeds the frame rate at projection not less than twice and multiple to it.
