Description

The currently used covalent alloy for junctions with the ZS-5 and ZS-9 glasses has an inflection point on the thermal expansion curve at a temperature of 430-450 °. As a result of this, temperatures above 450 ° Kovar joints with refractory glasses are inconsistent and destroyed when cooled from the brazing temperature.

100°.It is also known to use zirconium-based alloys for junctions with low-melting glasses. However, zirconium is not used for brazing with refractory glasses, since the thermal expansion coefficient is 5.6-6.4. 10, is maintained only up to a temperature of 100 °.

The proposed alloy can be used for its junctions with refractory glasses in the temperature range from 20 to 800 °. This is achieved by introducing 3-10% of tungsten and 0.8-1.5% of titanium into the alloy.

Вследствие этого спай получаетс  согласованным, вакуум - плотным, механически прочным и выдерживает многократные термические удары от -80 до +450°.The change in the coefficient of thermal expansion, 5.4 to 5.9 10, in the interval of the indicated temperatures occurs linearly and completely coincides with the expansion curve of the refractory glass. As a result, the junction is consistent, the vacuum is dense, mechanically strong and withstands multiple thermal shocks from -80 to + 450 °.

The proposed alloy is well soldered with appropriate hard alloys based on nickel, silver, etc., as well as in argon welding or electric contact welding. Soldering alloy with refractory glass can be produced in air.

The use of the proposed alloy in electrovacuum production will dramatically raise the pumping temperature of the devices from 450 to 750–800 °, which will make it possible to ensure their durability and reliability in operation.

No. 151830-2 Item of an Invention

Zirconium-based alloy for glass junctions, characterized in that, in order to use its junctions with refractory glasses in the temperature range of 20 to 800 °, from 3 to 10% tungsten and from 0.8 to T, 5% are introduced into it titanium.
