Abstract

FIELD: glass compositions. SUBSTANCE: the glass comprises (mole %): 53-58 SiO; 15-19 BO; 9-16 NaO; 8-12.3 LiO; 0.1-2 ZnO; 0.2-1 AlO; 0.2-4 ZrO; 0.2-3 VOor CrO; 0.1-2 MgO; 0.1-2 NbO; 0.01-0.3 SbO; 0.1-2.5 PbO or BiO. The glass spreading temperature 725-730 C; the coefficient of linear thermal expansion (83-104) x (83-104)×10·grade. The sample weight losses on boiling in a 1 N aqueous soda solution 0,12-0,25mg/cm/hr and at room temperature in a 5 % aqueous solution of oxalic acid 0,15-0,25mg/cm/hr. EFFECT: improved chemical resistance of glass to alkali- and acid-containing solutions. 2 tbl
