Description
The invention relates to the technology of the agglomeration of iron ore raw materials and can be used in the refining plants in the iron and steel industry.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the strength of the pellets during the reduction-heat treatment.
The mixture contains, wt%: limestone to 7.5-8.0, hydromiculine clay 0.4-0.6; iron ore concentrate else. Used as a binder: microniceum clay Kello-; Wei Rus has a composition,%: Fe 4,0; CaO 7.8; MgO 2.82; SiO 48.65; AljG 15.38; 3.70; 0.29; ppt 13.85. Clays of this type consist of 65-70% hydromica, 15-20% montmorillonite and 15% kaolinite.
Investigations of samples of burned sandwiches, obtained in experimental regimes with a roasting machine using different types of Callovian clay, confirmed the possibility of their use as a binder (a substitute for bentonite). Calcined Callovian clay had a high cold compressive strength of 3000–400 N / ox1. The hot strength during the reductive heat treatment of the samples varied depending on the type of clay and the heat treatment regime within 360–1100 N / pellet.

Multiple examination of burned pellets showed some differences in the structure and phase composition of Calvay clay from conventional pellets (see table). The first are DIFFERENT in lower porosity and oxidation and a large amount of silicate binder; moreover, samples from the lower layers are oxidized more than from the upper layers.
This difference can be explained by the fact that Callovian clays have lower swelling capacity compared to bentonite, due to which the formation of Callovian clay has a more dense structure, and this affects the structure and phase composition of roasted pellets.
As can be seen from the table, samples 1–3 were obtained using bentonite (swelling capacity 10.5), samples 4–6 were made of a mixture of Callovian glycotone bentonite, and were superior in hot strength.
When melting an experimental batch of pellets deterioration in the performance of blast furnaces was not observed.
Применение в качестве св зуюшего при производстве окатышей келловейской глины позвол ет улучшить качество железорудного сьфь .The use of Callovian clay as a binder in the production of pellets makes it possible to improve the quality of iron ore.
