Abstract
The invention relates to the chemistry of phosphorus compounds, in particular, to the technology of producing polymeric phosphorus monoxide used in organic and organoelemental synthesis. The aim of the invention is to increase the yield of the product. The method consists in mixing red phosphorus with an equimolar amount of hexamethyldisiloxane and air oxidation in the presence of copper monochloride in an amount of 0.0005-0.001 g / mol red phosphorus at the boiling point of hexamethyldisiloxane.

The aim of the invention is to increase the yield of the product.
Example 1. A mixture of 3.1 g (0.1 mol) of red phosphorus and 16.2 g (0.1 mol) of hexamethyldisiloxane in the presence of 0.00005 g of copper chloride (1) is boiled for 2 hours while blowing air. The desired product is isolated by filtration and washed 2-3 times with a solution of aqueous ammonia, alcohol, and absolute ether. Output 3,05 g (65% of theoretical) black or dark brown powder of polymeric phosphorus monoxide.
