Description

Known from the patent literature are konstruktsii machines for cutting leaves from the stems, using a cutting device, mounted on the ends of the shaft disc knives, and tools for feeding plants to the cutting device, including the roll with an annular groove in the middle part of the outer surface. All parts of this machine are usually mounted on a common bed.

The proposed device of a similar purpose allows to ensure reliable retention of the stems while pulling the plants through the cutting apparatus and complete quality cutting of all the leaves. For this purpose, it uses: the dividers installed in front of the cutting unit, guiding the leaves to the knives, the second pair of circular knives placed between the knives of the first pair and pressed against them by the spacer spring, as well as an additional roller in the device for feeding the plants to the cutting unit, fitted with a tooth mi in the central part of the external surface.

One of the rollers of the plant feeding device to the cutting apparatus may have a convex, and the other a concave surface.

FIG. Figure 1 shows schematically a proposed device for cutting leaves from stalks, for example, tobacco, side view; in fig. 2- the same plan view; in fig. 3 - rolls of the device for feeding plants to the cutting apparatus of the device.

The main parts of the proposed device are the cutting apparatus /, the device 2 for feeding plants through the cutting apparatus and the dividers 3 v. 4, guiding the leaves to the knives. All parts of the device are mounted on the bed 5. The cutting apparatus 1 includes two pairs of 6 7 circular knives, with the first pair of 6 circular knives located outside the pair of 7 circular knives; the last one is added to the first pair with the help of a spacer spring (not shown in the drawing).

Dried tobacco plants are manually fed tops forward into the gap between the disk knives. In this case, the dividers deflect the leaves to the right and to the left, which ensures the leading of the leaves to the knives and improves their cut. Proceeding further, the plant stems are securely gripped by growing rollers 5 and 5 and pulled along them along the entire length. Circular knives cut the leaves of the plant during this movement, which fall onto the conveyor belt and can be fed to the sorting mill or container.

A prototype of the proposed device was tested with positive results at the Maikop fermentation plant.

According to the Krasnodar Economic Council, the proposed use of circular knives ensures good separation of tobacco leaves from the stem, significantly reduces their size, and the forced promotion of the stem through rolls facilitates the work of the service personnel.

The productivity of this machine is much higher than that of manually separating tobacco leaves from stems.
