Abstract
The invention relates to parts of analytical chemistry, and in particular to methods for separating mercury (I) from acidic solutions, allows for increased selectivity and can be used for its analysis in samples of complex composition. An analyte solution containing 4–40 mg of mercury (II), 2.5 ml of a 2 M aqueous solution of antipyrine (Ant), 4 ml of a 10. Description
The invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry, namely to methods for separating mercury (II) from aqueous solutions, and can be used to separate it from other elements and analysis in samples of complex composition.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the selectivity of the release of mercury from solutions.
Example. The analyzed solution was injected into the separatory funnel, containing 4-40 mg of mercury (I), 2.5 ml of a 2 M solution of antipyrine (Ant), 4 ml of a 10 M solution of sulfuric acid, 5 ml of a 4 M solution of tri.chloroxus - Acidic acid (TCA), which does not contain its chloride ion (sample with silver nitratome), is diluted with water to 20 ml and shaken for 1-2 minutes. After settling, the lower phase is transferred as completely as possible to the titration flask . In addition, 0.5 ml of the Ant solution, 1.5 ml of the TCA solution are added to the funnel and shaken again for 1 minute. The newly separated organic phase is poured into the flask. The mercury contained in the combined extracts is determined by known methods, for example complexometric. To do this, a 5 M KOH solution is added to the extracts to dissolve the organic phase (pH) 7, the excess of Trilon B is brought to a pH of 9-10 with ammonium buffer solution and the titanium zinc sulfate with eriochrome black T is not reacted with titrated as an indicator.
Research data influenced neither the concentration. of sulfuric acid to isolate elements from solutions are given in the table.
As can be seen from the table, as the concentration of sulfuric acid to 3 M increases, the degree of extraction of elements decreases, whereas with mercury (II) it increases slightly, which indicates an increase in the factor
Экстракцию следует проводить при 2-3 М концентрации серной кислоты , так как при ее концентрации меньше 2 М возрастает извлечение других элементов , а при концентрации больше 3 М падает извлечение ртути.separation of mercury and other elements by the introduction of sulfuric acid. The maximum mercury recovery is observed at a H2SO4 concentration of 2 M and is 93% per extraction. Repeated extraction allows to achieve almost complete release - 98%. Extraction should be carried out at a 2–3 M concentration of sulfuric acid, since at a concentration of less than 2 M, the extraction of other elements increases, and at a concentration of more than 3 M, the extraction of mercury decreases.
At 2-3 M concentration of sulfuric acid, copper, beryllium, magnesium, zinc, cadmium, aluminum, gallium, yttrium, lanthanum, thorium, chromium (III), vanadium (IV), uranium (VI), manganese are not extracted into the organic phase ( P), cobalt, nickel. Extraction of such elements as scandium, indium, zirconium, hafnium, tin, vis mut does not resemble 2%. Only thallium (1P) and molybdenum (VI) are recovered in appreciable quantities. Thus, compared with the known method, the selectivity increases significantly: mercury can be isolated from bases containing A1, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, F e, Mg. MP, Ni, Zn. Allocate the release of mercury T1 (III), Mo (VI) and SG.
