Abstract
Under hydroponic conditions, after growing spinach for 25–35 days in a psychological Knop solution containing the nitrate form of nitrogen, the composition of the nutrient medium includes the ammonium form of nitrogen. Ammonium food support for at least 7 days. During the 7 days of treatment with an ammonium solution, the content of oxalic acid is halved compared with the control, the leaf biomass of the experimental plants practically remains at the level of the plants that were grown on the nitrate form. 2 Il. Description
The invention relates to agriculture and can be used for hydroponically growing plants that accumulate oxalic acid in their leaves, for example, spinach, beets and others.
The aim of the invention is to reduce the content of oxalic acid while reducing the yield.
FIG. Figure 1 shows a graph of the effect of nitrogen on oxalic acid accumulation in spinach leaves; in fig. 2 - variation of oxalic acid, acid and biomass of spinach depending on the form of nitrogen in the nutrient solution (nitrate or ammonium). Spinach plants are grown on the nutritious, Knop solution containing the nitrate form of nitrogen (FIG. 1) and on a nutrient solution containing only ammonium form nitrogen (Fig. 1); the absdiss axis shows the time (timing) for growing spinach for various forms of nitrogen nutrition: I is the percentage of oxalic acid in spinach leaves on the 30th day of cultivation on two forms of nitrogen; II is the percentage change in the content of oxalic acid; II - biomass after 7-day feeding of plants with an ammonium solution instead of nitrate; III and III, respectively, the percentage change in the content of oxalic acid and biomass after an 18-day treatment with an ammonium solution.
From the graph in FIG. 2 shows that for 7 days of treatment with an ammonium solution, the content of oxalic acid G

In this case, the biomass of leaves of the experimental plants practically remains at the level of plants that were grown on a nitrate solution. In 18 days of treatment, an even greater decrease in oxalic acid occurs, but at the same time the biomass is also significantly reduced. Thus, the proposed method of growing spinach is technological and can be successfully applied under protective soil conditions on substrate hydroponics. The use of nitrate nitrogen in the initial period of growth contributes to the accelerated formation of the photosynthetic apparatus, which is essential for the accumulation of biomass, and only after that does ammonia feed to reduce the oxalic acid content in culture.
