Description

и растительных масел (льн ного, орехового и др.).It is known to use lavender oil as a diluent for art oil paints. It is also known that artists use oil paints to use so-called "tees, consisting of essential oils (piisna, turpentine, etc.), resin varnish (dammar, mastic, etc.) and vegetable oils (linseed, nut and others.).

It is proposed to use mixtures of lavender, lemon wormwood, mellepolestovnik, hyssop and nutmeg sage with pinene or dammar varnish as a diluent of artistic oil paints, or to apply them in pure form.

According to the data of dilution with essential oils, an excellent connection with the ground and between the layers is achieved, which is especially important in multi-layer painting.

Experiments have shown that these essential oils, when introduced into oil paints, improve the properties of the latter, namely: they eliminate shedding of the paint layer, increase the intensity and brilliance of the paints, contribute to the appearance of the paint, which enables the artist to model the shape.

Essential oils, such as nutmeg sage, lemon wormwood, small-aperture and hyssop, were tested for their use in painting. For the study, paints were taken: zinc white, ocher red, ocher light, ultramarine, kranlak red and chromium oxide. The control samples were non-diluent oil paints.

The test results showed that with the introduction of essential oils, the oil paints dried out faster than the controls. The gums present in the composition of the essential oils and the weights during the hardening of the oil-painting film perform the role of plasticizers and give elasticity to the film. Volatile substances found in the essential oil help remove fatty oxidation products. By penetrating the entire thickness of the oil-in-color film, the essential oil contributes to the drying of the lower layers of the oil paint, thus achieving its uniform hardening. This circumstance is of particular importance in multi-layer painting. The addition of these oils eliminated the samples from drying out (the intensity and brilliance of colors increased) Aging of oil films was performed by irradiating with ultraviolet rays for 100 hours. Samples were taken with and without essential oil introduced into them (rosin.) In cases of paints with HSRjeifeHHH essential oil introduced into them, no irradiation was detected.
