Известные способы выполнени  затылованной резьбы на метчиках, например шлифовальным кругом на резьбошлифовальных станках, относительно дороги и примен ютс  лишь при изготовлении машинных метчиков из быстрорежуших сталей. Ручные же метчики из углеродистых сталей изготовл ютс  с незатылованной резьбой в св зи с отсутствием приемлемого по экономическим и технологическим факторам способа затыловани  резьбы. В эксплуатации метчики с незатылованной резьбой имеют меньшую стойкость по сравнению с метчиками с затылованной резьбой и, кроме того, подвержены поломкам из-за неблагопри тных условий резани  при нарезании резьб.The known methods for making tapped threads on taps, for example with a grinding wheel on thread grinding machines, are relatively expensive and are used only in the manufacture of machine taps from high-speed steels.
