Изобретение откоситс  к двигателестроению и может быть использовано при создании быстроходных двигателей с внешним подводом тепла. Целью изобретени   вл етс  повышение мощности двигател  путем уменьшени  гидравлического сопротивлени  магистралей при форсировании частоты вращени  коленчатого вала. Двигатель работат по регенеративному циклу и имеет цилиндры I, разделенные на гор чие и холодные полости 3 и 4 поршн ми 2. В этом случае при движении порщн  одного цилиндра вверх рабочее тело переталкиваетс  из гор чей полости этого цилиндра в холостую полость следующего цилиндра через нагреватель 6, регул тор 7 и охладитель 8, установленные в магистрал х. Дл  более эффективной работы двигател  рекуператоры одной стороной сообщены с гор чими полост ми пары цилиндров, а другой - с холодными. Поршни цилиндров смещены относительно друг друга на 180°.
