Description
The invention relates to the production of pure noble gases, mainly to the purification of gels from trace impurities.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the cleaning efficiency of noble gases from impurities at high pressure and increase the service life of the cleaning device.
The drawing shows the proposed device.
The device contains a cylindrical discharge chamber 1, a nipple 2 for introducing the cleaned gas, titanium electrodes 3 and 4 with axial holes. Connected to the nipples (one of the electrodes can be made of tantalum), nipple 5 for outputting the purified gas, permeable to gas an additional electrode 6 of titanium. The electrodes 3 and 4 are connected to the positive poles of the DC voltage sources, and the electrode 6 is grounded and tightly connected to the housing.
The device works in the following way.
When a positive voltage is applied to electrodes 3 and 4, electrical discharges are ignited between electrodes 3 and 6 and electrodes 4 and 6. Discharges, by increasing voltage, are transferred to two arcs. The cathode of both arcs is a central electrode made of titanium, and the anodes are electrodes connected to iggutserami, made of electrical insulating material (Н01Ч) material.
The gas to be purified enters the chamber through the nozzle 2 and the electrode 3, where it passes through

5.a cloud of vapors in the interelectrode interstitial zone formed by electrodes 3 and 6, then passes through the holes in the central electrode 6 and enters the gap between electrodes 4 and 6, where it also interacts with titanium vapors. Titanium vapor entering the interelectrode gaps, the absorption of impurities, the contents of the gas in the gas. Saturation of the sprayed titanium with impurities does not occur, since the generation of steam occurs during the entire arc burning time. Pairs of binding impurities are deposited on the walls of the chamber, inside the electrode 6 and on other surfaces. The purified gas is led out through the electrode 4 and the gas plug 5.
м.Example. The cleaning of balloon gels of brand A with a total content of impurities of not more than 0.005% is carried out. The cleaning is carried out using a noble gas cleaning device. All of the electrodes are made of titanium, the length of the discharge gauge is 200 mm, the chamber diameter is 50 mm, the total length of the interelectrode gaps is 20 m.m.
Используют стандартную методику определени примесей в гелии, основанную на криогенном накоплении примесей с последуюп,им анализом на хроматографе «Цвет-100.The purification efficiency is assessed by reducing the concentration of nitrogen, oxygen and argon in helium leaving the charging chamber. The standard method for the determination of impurities in helium is used, based on the cryogenic accumulation of impurities followed by analysis on a Color-100 chromatograph.
