An example. lOOll g of hydrochloric acid silica gel. Treatment of a fraction of 0.250–0.315 mm is moistened with 70 ml of a 1% solution of sulfuric acid acid gels, thoroughly mixed and calcined for 2 hours at 950–1OSO C. 60 ml of a 20% aqueous solution of aluminum sulphate and dried for two hours at 190-210 ° C. The cooled powder is moistened with 30 ml of an oxidizing solution (prepared by dissolving 1.6 g of chromic anhydride in 40 mil of distilled water and 36 ml of concentrated sulfuric acid are carefully added with stirring. -) and overhang at 105-110 C for 90. ± 5 min, cooled in an ex-cusp and used to make indicator tubes. To do this, put a tampon into one end of a glass tube with an inner diameter of 2.3-2.4 mm. from fiberglass with a thickness of up to 2.0 mm, pour the indicator composition with a height of 45 ± 1 mm, compact it to a length of 40 ± 2 mm and fix the position with a swab up to 2 mm thick.

Figure 2 shows the dependence of the other reactive properties of the indicator compositions on the activation temperature of the silica gel treated with ferrous sulfuric acid (ethyl acetate concentration 195 mg / m). 45 Treatment of silica gel with sulfuric acid iron with ferrous, followed by drying at a temperature above, sharply reduces its specific surface area, which makes it difficult to apply an oxidizing solution. The activation of silica gel prolongs the process of preparation of the indicator composition (when drying for two hours, the composition does not react).
