Description
The invention relates to the field of engineering, namely engine building, in particular to internal combustion engines with devices for filling cylinders with fresh air and treating it with electric means.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency and reduce the toxicity of engine exhaust gases.
The drawing shows the scheme of the proposed engine.
1.The engine comprises an intake manifold 1, a direct current source 2 with positive and negative electrodes 3 and 4, and an impeller 5 with guide vanes. The intake manifold 1 is connected to the inlet pipes 6 of the cylinders 7 and to the air pressure pipe 8 of the turbocharger 9. The positive and negative electrodes 3 and 4 are separated by air flow in the intake manifold 1. The impeller 5 with guide vanes is freely installed along the axis of the intake manifold 1. The source 2 is current connected to the positive electrode 3 to the impeller 5, and the negative electrode 4 to the collector 1.
The engine works as follows.
When the turbocharger 9 is rotated, air is compressed in it and supplied to the air inlet nozzle 8, then an air flow is formed in the intake manifold 1 along a helical line by means of an impeller 5 freely installed in it with guide vanes. From manifold 1, air is supplied to inlets 6 of cylinders 7. A direct current source 2 with positive and negative electrodes 3 and 4 in the intake manifold 1 creates an electric field with positive and negative charges. Due to the fact that the current source 2 is connected by a positive electrode 3 to the impeller 5, and negative - to a collector 1, air is charged by a positive electric field, and the collector 1 is charged by a negative charge. As a result, electrified air is supplied to cylinder 7, where vapors and droplets of fuel injected through a nozzle will more intensively react with oxygen in the air, providing more complete combustion with less air and reducing exhaust emissions. The need to form a helix air stream is due to the fact that there are always a certain amount of negative and positive ions in the air. During the rotational motion of the vortex on the impeller 5, air molecules due to centrifugal forces will constantly strike the surface of the collector 1, which has a negative charge. In this case, the negative ions will repel the collector, and the positive ions will either neutralize or take a negative charge, As a result, the number of negative oxygen ions that will improve the combustion process will continuously increase in collector 1. Thus, the positive effect is provided by the joint effect of the rotational motion of the air and the effect of the electric field of the indicated polarity.
