Description
The designs of raking grabs with elongated jaws primarily for unloading ship holds are known. The disadvantage of such structures is the large width of the grapple and its high height when the jaws are closed, which creates inconvenience when working, since the high grab can close between the floorboard and the deck when closing, and the grab with a long traverse can hook on the coaming of the hatch during lifting.
A distinctive feature of the proposed grab design is the use of composite jaws, made in the form of articulated guides to the upper cross member and moving along them on the support rollers of the trough-shaped cusps, bearing the blocks of the lower cross bar.
FIG. 1 is depicted in two projections of a grab in a closed state; in fig. 2-grab in open condition (with jaws open), side view.
JSb 118964- 2 -The described four-cable grab for bulk cargo (ore) consists mainly of two jaws) and a system of tackle 2, which ensures their closing and opening in predetermined positions. Opening the jaws when lowering the grapple is combined with their simultaneous elongation (retraction), as a result of which the width of the grip between the jaws exceeds the height of the grab in the closed state. In the open state, the grapple, lifted on two supporting ropes 5 (with weakened closing ropes 4), is lowered onto the load. During the tensioning of the locking ropes 4, the jaws / grapples are closed by means of a tackle, the jaws being initially shifted progressively along the guide frames 5 until they stop into the jaw frames 6, and then close, rotating with the grapple 7. loose support ropes fed to the place of unloading JSb 118964-2 -
7,ki, where the stopper is supporting the ropes and loosening the closing ropes. The jaws of the grapple under the influence of r 8 and tackles open, discharge the load. Further weakening of the locking ropes causes each jaw to move to its extreme position, which leads to an additional increase in their opening. The opening of the grapple is limited to an abutment of the lower yoke 9 into the upper 7,
