The invention relates to the field of cleaning with the help of tools and can be used when carrying out repair work in various industries, to remove, for example, thermal insulation from tank piping surfaces, etc. The knife for removing the insulation containing blade and element to open przrezi. A known knife is used to remove lead insulation from an electric cable, a metal strip is removed by a lev, and an element for opening a slot, wedge-shaped, extends the edges of the lead sheath to Cl 3 sides. A disadvantage of the known knife is that it cannot be used to remove other types of insulation, such as asbestos-cement. thermal insulation. The purpose of the invention is to expand the operational capabilities of the knife. The goal is achieved by the fact that the knife for stripping the surface from the surface containing the blade and the slot opening element is made in the form of a triangular pyramid, the two faces of which are concave and form the element for opening the slot, and the blade is formed by the intersection of the concave faces. The third facet is made in the form of the surface being cleaned and in the front part has a bevel. FIG. 1 shows a side view of the knife in FIG. 2 is the same, top view in FIG. 3 shows section A-A in FIG. 1 in FIG. 4 - a knife in conjunction with a mechanized tool. The knife is made in the form of a triangular pyramid, the face 1 of which has the form of a cleaned surface, and the faces 2 3 are concave and form an element to open the slits with blade 4. The knife has a bevel 5 and a shank 6. Faces 2 and 3 at the intersection with face 1 they form ribs 7 and 8. The knife can be used together with the mechanized tool 9, and the end 10 of the shank 6 has the shape of the slot of the mechanized tool. The design of the knife is characterized by the angle .d-between the ribs 7 and 8 in plan, the angle y between the blade and the face 1 and the angle 7 of the bevel of the front part of the edge 1. The knife works as follows. By striking the back of the shank, the knife is cut into the insulation. In this case, face 1 is located on the surface to be cleaned. Upon further striking, the knife moves along the surface being cleaned. In this case, with the blade 4, the insulation is cut, and with faces 2 and 3, the insulation layer is moved apart. The blows can be applied manually or you can use a handheld mechanized pneumatic or power tool for this. Bevel 5 in the front of face 1 provides the ability to raise and lower the knife to bypass welds, protrusions, and irregularities on the surface of the product to be cleaned. The angles ot, / 1 and are selected depending on the physical properties of the insulation material from the condition of the least resistance to the movement of the knife with effective destruction of the insulation. Thus, for example, it has been established by experiment that for destruction of asbestos-cement insulation 0 35-40 °, / i 28-32 ° and 2-3 °. The use of the proposed knife makes it possible to increase the productivity of work on removing various types of insulation from the surface, especially in cramped conditions and inaccessible places.
