Description
Known methods of forging welded seams are performed after cleaning the seam from the slag layer with the help of a hammer with a rounded head. With existing methods of forging seams, preliminary manual cleaning of the seam from the slag layer is necessary, as a result of which the forging is performed on the cooled metal, which makes it impossible to establish the thermal mode of the forging.
According to the proposed method, these disadvantages are eliminated by the fact that the seam is forged through a layer of slag immediately after welding is finished at the temperature of the weld metal, corresponding to recrystallization temperature (450-600 °), at which the forging is most effective.
Weld welds are made by a forging comb mounted on a pneumatic tool, having 1 spherical protrusions. At the end of the welding of the seam, the forging comb brings to the beginning of the seam section and forks the middle and then the edge of the seam. The forging is performed by gradual change1; Enn the forging die in the same direction as the welding.
The criterion for the quality of the forging is the weld surface. If the surface is smooth and the glitter of the ball has numerous shallow dimples, fading colors appear, then the forging comb is moved further.
Продолжительность проковки приблизительно приравнивают к продолжительности заварки .From the vibrations in the metal of the compound caused by blows of the forging comb, the slag lags behind and crumbles before plastical deformation of the weld metal occurs as a result of rolling. The mode of forging seams over a layer of slag is determined depending on the length of the seam section by calculation, taking into account that the temperature of the weld metal at the time of the start of forging corresponds to the recrystallization temperature (450-600 °). Duration of forging is approximately equal to the duration of welding.
The forging of seams by the proposed method reduces the residual welding stresses in the welds, and also mechanizes and accelerates the process of cleaning the seams from slag.
