Description

This invention relates to the electrochemical protection of steel piles against corrosion in seawater in the zone of periodic wetting above the waterline.

В зоне периодического смачивани  сваи защищаютс  лакокрасочными покрыти ми с дополнительным усилением защиты пущсмазкой .Usually, cathode and sacrificial protection are used to protect the piles from corrosion in the zone of their total immersion in seawater. In the zone of periodic wetting, the piles are protected with paint and varnish coatings with an additional enhancement of the protection of lubricants.

The disadvantage of paintwork protection is the rapid weariness of coatings and the difficulty of repairing piles under operating conditions of offshore ramps.

According to the proposed procedure, this disadvantage is eliminated by using a detachable anodic jacket that is worn on the protected portion of the pile, located in the zone of periodic wetting of the waterline, and performing the role of cathodic protection.

The anodic jacket is a strip of sheet iron, joined at the bottom with an iron yoke, and at the top, a special funnel for continuous or periodic irrigation of the shirt with seawater, in which the piers of the sea trestle are located.

In order to reduce water consumption for wetting of the cutter and uniform irrigation of the protected area with water, the latter is wrapped with a layer of cloth (meshchinka), which retains moisture well and contributes to the formation of salt sludge that absorbs moisture and acts as an electrolyte.

When a current of installed power is connected for electrochemical protection, the cathode-polarized metal surface is not subject to destruction, and thus long-term operation of the piers of offshore racks is ensured.
