The invention relates to the production of boron compounds, in particular calcium tetraborate, which is used in the manufacture of glass, fertilizers and as a raw material for the production of boron nitride. A known method for producing calcium hexaborate by treating acetate with calcium boron acid in a saturated solution of boric acid at a temperature above and pH 3.5-8.5 followed by separation of the product i. The disadvantages of this method are the duration of the process of calcium hexaborate formation (20 h and its yield (about 60%). The closest to the invention in its technical essence and the achieved result is a method for producing calcium taraborate, which includes the interaction of acid and calcium carbonate propionate in a saturated aqueous solution. boric acid at 60-90 ° C for 0.5-3.0 hours. The product is obtained with a yield of 82.27-91.12%, the content of the basic substance is practically 100% 2, However, the known method is characterized by an insufficiently high yield of product The aim of the invention is to increase the yield of the product while maintaining the content of the main substance in it. The goal is to achieve: according to the method for producing calcium tetraborate, the principle is the interaction of the boron-containing compounds with the acidic reagent in the solution at an elevated temperature. with the subsequent separation of the product from the solution and its drying, the oxides of boron and calcium are subjected to interaction with propionic acid at 50 BOS and a weight ratio of acid and boron oxide equal to 1.6: (o, 25–0.38), and the ratio of acid and calcium oxide, equal to 1.6: 1.6: (0.31-0.47). Moreover, borogipsoic is used as boron and kagc oxides. ore Example. A mixture of 25.0 g (2 parts by weight) of borogips ore composition,% g: BjO, 5.72 (3.93), CaO.19.52 (4.88), MgO 12.65 (3.16 ), SO 24.33 (6.08), Н20 27.78 (6.94) and 20 g (1.6 parts by weight) of propionic acid (the weight ratio of propionic acid K and oxides of boron and calcium l, 6: fl, 31, KgCaO 1.6: 0.39) is dissolved in 80 ml of water and stirred for 0.5 h at 50 ° C, after which the solution is separated from the slurry by filtration. The degree of ore decomposition along the forest is 100%. The reaction solution, containing, mg / l: 41089.22, CaO 12758.71, MgO 7052.17, SOj 456., 57, is evaporated to 1/5 of the volume, the precipitate is separated, and it is drawn off on the filter from magnesium propionate. The resulting precipitate is dried at. room temperature. The yield of the product of calcium tetraborate is 8.0 g (93.10%). The degree of purity is 100%. Found,%: Ca 13.23, B 1.4.27, H 3.86, O 68.64. Calculated,%: Ca 13.21, B 14.26, 3.96, O 68.57. The sludge produced contains 71.14% gypsum (). The dependence of the product yield and the content of the main substance in it on the process temperature and the weight ratios of acid and oxides of boron and calcium are given in the table. With a weight ratio of propionic acid and oxides of 1.6: 0.25; K: CaO G 1.6: 0.31, the product yield is less than 91.12%, regardless of the duration of the process and temperature. If the weight ratio of propionic acid and K oxides: 1.6: 0.38, K: CaO 1.6: 0.47, the resulting product contains carbon and magnesium due to the free salt of magnesium propionate, regardless of washing with water and temperature. At temperatures below 50 ° C, the product yield decreases, and at temperatures above 60 ° C, the content of the main substance in the product decreases. Thus, the proposed method allows to increase the yield of the product from 82.27-91.12 to 93.10-95.04% while maintaining the content of the basic substance at the level of 100%. Besides, . The proposed method allows to increase the degree of use of boron feedstock (up to 30% in boric anhydride) to reduce the cost of the product by 2.3 az a.
